Overview
Cholesterol is a waxy substance found in the blood. Body needs cholesterol to build healthy cells, high levels of cholesterol can increase risk of heart disease.
By high cholesterol fatty deposits developed in the blood vessels. These deposits grow and make it difficult For enough blood to flow through arteries. Sometimes these deposits can break and form a clot that causes heart attack or stroke.
High cholesterol is the reason of bad or unhealthy lifestyle which is preventable or treatable. A healthy diet , regular exercise or meditation can help in reducing high cholesterol.
Symptoms
High cholesterol has no further symptoms. Blood test is the only way to detect if u have it or not.
Types of cholesterol

• Low-density lipoprotein (LDL)- it is the bad cholesterol in the body. It is built up in the walls of arteries, make them narrow and hard.
• High-density lipoprotein (HDL)- it is the good cholesterol in the body. Picks up excess cholesterol and takes it back to your liver.

Factors that can increase your risk of bad
cholesterol include:
• Poor diet
• Lack of exercise or physical activity
• Smoking
• Diabetes
• Obesity
